FAQs
What jobs do you offer students?
We provide job opportunities across all our different departments, so you can work in our shops and bars as well as gain experience in some of our internal departments such as marketing and finance.
How much do you pay?
We pay a minimum of £8.36 per hour, plus holiday pay if you work for more than a term at a time.
How often can I work?
You can work a maximum of 16 hours per week during term time - this ensures your part-time work does not impact on your studies.
How can I apply?

Remember we only keep applications forms for 6 months due to data protection, so if you might need to complete a new application even if you've previously applied to work for us.
I'm here on a student working visa - can I work for you?
Yes - depending on the terms of your visa. We'll need to see a copy of your passport and visa, so we can check. Your visa must be valid for at least 3 months from the date of your employment. You can find more information on the Government's Visa and Immigration webpages.
Do I need to provide proof of eligibility to work in the UK?
Yes - all UK employers must check the eligibility of their employees. We will need to see a copy of your passport or birth certificate. If you are from outside either the EEA (European Economic Area) or Switzerland, we will need to see a copy of your current visa. All visas and passports must be valid for at least 3 months at the date we employ you, unless you are a British passport holder, in which case an expired passport is permitted. Do you employ non-students?
Our student staff roles are only available to current University of Brighton students. We have career staff positions available, which you can find in our Careers section.[LINK]
